25 Gallo-Roman graves were discovered by Mr Delsaut in his meadows while he was excavating to drain water. Relics are mainly some pots and small metal objects.
Some studies were made at that time by archaeologists of the Forum of Bavay. Relics were dated between 50 and 150 after JC.
In the discovery place, there was a tribe evaluated to around a hundred persons.
These objects were left by the founder's son to the municipality when he died.
Objects can be admired free of charge by appointment in the city hall at the same location than the Battle of Wattignies' museum. (Currently in French only)
